03 Feb Even Zebras Love Mail! Postcard #1

I really wanted to make a quirky design for my first postcard because this project is about having fun and trying different things. It is also about my love of mail. When you combine the two you get a Zebra expressing his love of getting mail. This was a really fun project and I already have some great ideas for future postcards.

My first design is called Even Zebras Love Mail. The design was created in Adobe Illustrator with a background that was painted with watercolours using Burnt Sienna. I layered more than one painted image in the background to create some interest and depth. The typography and text colour is influenced by the constructivism movement in design.
